Photo Project due 10/28/09

Pg. 1:
This picture was meant to show inverses. The top is mirrored by its inverse. This was done by creating shapes, transforming the text to rotate vertically and horizontally and pressing the inverse button to get the inverse on one layer. It clearly shows that it was supposed to represent inverses hence the black background is on top and the white background is on bottom. The same goes for the red and blue text.

Pg. 2:
This image was meant to show gradients. There are multiple layers of different colored gradients above the flag to allow the text and Statue of Liberty to stand out. This works because the gradients are the main focus of the picture and stand out.

Pg. 3:
This image emphasizes mirror images. Most of the text is mirrored via the transform button. The butterflies were duplicated by the clone tool and then the layer was mirrored by the transform tool. This works because it the mirrored images are everywhere. The mirrors are more opaque than the originals to give some variety to the picture.

Pg. 4:
This image emphasizes the blur tool. The background is a gradient which was blurred to spread the effect from the foreground to the background. The text and the notes are blurred to show they are moving into the background. This picture is completely blurred; therefore it clearly emphasizes the point being made.

Pg. 5:
This image represents the linear aspect of art. The text is all in a straight line. Also, the text is boxy. This picture could have been better if the background had lines in it and the words meshed with the background, however the simplicity of this design makes it unique.
